Job Description

We are looking to appoint an administrator to support our Mortgage and Protection Adviser. This role is an entry role for anyone who is looking to purse a structured apprenticeship in Financial Services Administration to gain formal qualifications, with a progression pathway onto Mortgage Advice.

Key Responsibilities

o Answer phone calls, emails ensuring clear and professional communication to clients and providers.

o Prepare agendas and materials for meetings and take minutes if required

o Organise and schedule meetings for our Mortgage and Protection Adviser

o Maintain databases and ensure records are up to date and easily accessible.

o Assisting the Mortgage and Protection Adviser in the application process for mortgages and protection policies

o Greet visitors and clients, making sure they are attended to promptly.

o Managing and processing mortgage paperwork, such as loan applications, credit checks and contracts

o Updating clients on the status of their mortgage applications and any required documentation

o Handling the administration of protection insurance policies such as life insurance, critical illness cover and income protection.

o Perform other duties as required to ensure the office runs efficiently.

Key Skills and Experience

Attention to Detail: Accuracy is crucial in processing mortgage and protection documentation.

Communication Skills: Effective communication with clients, lenders, and insurers

Organisation: Handling multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously requires strong organisational skills.

Customer Service: Providing excellent support to clients, answering their questions, and guiding them through processes.

Knowledge & Experience: Candidates must evidence an achievement of grade C (4) or above at GCSE or equivalent in English and maths
